The child is not the mere creature of the state; those who nurture
him and direct his destiny have the right, coupled with the high
duty, to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations.

-SCOTUS, Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 1925

I am a blessed mother of three.

As a future family-law attorney, I want my practice to be about more then the courtroom, but about helping strengthen and preserve the families who are living through the judicial system.

The goals of attorneymom are:

1. Encourage legislation which respects the presumption that fit parents act in their children's best interests.
2. Oppose legislation which unreasonably and/or unjustly intrudes on the fundamental right of a parent to nurture and care for their child.
3. Advocate for parents who are facing legal challenges that undermine their relationship with their children.
4. Educate voters to bring about a deeper understanding as to why a Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is so vital to the foundation and future of our Nation.

Here are some of the things planned for this site:

Case law: Real-life lawsuits told as fictional stories that will enhance your knowledge of decisions which have been made by the courts.

Legislation updates: Notices about proposed legislation or changes in legislation that affect parents rights.

Laws: Links to the laws in your area.

The Issues: Links to articles on issues like the Parents Rights Amendment, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child Treaty, grandparents rights, child protective services and custody.

The opinions expressed through this website and blog are the opinions of the site owner. This website is NOT
a substitute for counsel from a private attorney. Family law situations are often complex, and laws vary from
state to state. If you are in need of legal advice, PLEASE seek a living, breathing, flesh-and-blood attorney in your state.
